LET UTAH WORK AGAIN
Our Governor and Lt. Governor can’t close our state borders and let local governments suspend our rights. It’s easy for people with guaranteed government paychecks to tell us that we need to keep this economy closed indefinitely.
Greg Hughes grew up in a blue-collar neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Raised by a single mother when she could, and his aunts or grandmother when she couldn’t, Greg’s upbringing was rough, and his circumstances were humble. He has fought adversity throughout his life.
Victor Iverson and his wife, Audrey Johnson, met on a blind date and have been married for 26 years. They are the proud parents of five children, one son-in-law and one beautiful granddaughter.
Iverson is chair of the Washington County Board of Commissioners
Throughout his legislative career, Greg Hughes has been a leader for education reform, fighting for more local control, parental choice, charter schools and increased innovation in education delivery and education funding. He has also consistently fought back against federal encroachment in our education system.
Despite unprecedented political pressure from the liberal media, Democrats, and even Republicans, Speaker Greg Hughes stood strong to defeat multiple efforts to expand Obamacare in our state. Utah can’t get pulled into the cycle of ever-expanding entitlements that is bankrupting our country.
CHAMPION FOR OUR VETERANS
Greg Hughes spent his years in the legislature prioritizing legislation to reflect the gratitude and respect that we, as citizens, feel for our military men and women. They give so much to protect our freedoms and we should do all that we can to provide opportunity for them and their families when they return home, as well as take care of them when they are in need of assistance.
